Type of Arts: Sculpture

As with painting, the earliest example of sculpture dates back to the Upper Paleolithic period (40,000 to 10,000 years ago). During this period, stone and ivory were used to create small figurines. It wasn't until the Greeks used bronze casting for life size figures were represented as Sculpture.

Some material, like bronze, glass, ivory, steel, marble and wood were sculpture material for three-dimensional artworks. There are two-dimensional sculpture where the object is not detached  from its background. This is called Relief Carving.
